Ambrita Shahani-Tuckwell moved to London from Mumbai to study at Central St. Martins. In 2008 she joined Alexander McQueen for a decade and co-founded the couture studio, collaborating with Sarah Burton on all special projects for the brand. She then went on to work for Burberry, Hermès Maison and fendi couture.
Shahani-Tuckwell volunteers as a trustee of The Heritage Crafts Association and Alexandra Rose Charity. She is a visiting lecturer at Central St. Martins and Royal College of Art on the BA and MA Fashion courses.
